BERGALDI
Bergaldi’s musical journey began with a wide range of influences, from classical radio and his parents’ record collection to composers Junichi Masuda and Masato Nakamura. Early exposure to artists like the Bee Gees sparked an interest in melody and dance music, while hearing AC/DC and Golden Earring at age twelve inspired him to take up guitar seriously. Rather than following traditional practice methods, he taught himself by learning songs by ear and playing along to his favorite music. A guitar instructional DVD later renewed his commitment to the instrument, with Rock N Roll helping him develop his own pace and philosophy as a musician.
As he grew, Bergaldi’s creative focus shifted from simply playing music to writing and composing it. Encouraged by a multi-instrumentalist friend, he began creating original songs and expanded his interests into synthesizers and electronic music through artists like Röyksopp, Ronald Jenkees, and Depeche Mode. Influences such as Type O Negative shaped his guitar style, while mentorship from his Uncle John deepened his understanding of arrangement, composition, and musical expression. Over time, he developed a distinctive style that blended elements of rock, pop, classical music, and cinematic scoring, ultimately moving beyond loyalty to any single genre while retaining the spirit and values of those he admired most
